What to expect
Counselling is a process that involves the dedicated exploration of an individual's life issues and goals. Each client gets to decide what they would like to gain from therapy. Together, client and counsellor work to achieve these goals.
Who do I work with?
I work with youth and adults. I have experience working with youth, adults and members of Indigenous communities.
Areas of Specialty
I work from a trauma-informed lens. What this means is that I see issues stemming from some aspect of trauma. I view trauma as an overwhelming of the human system. When this happens, and it can happen in various ways, it causes an emotional disturbance that can last with the individual for years and even a life time. I see therapy as an opportunity to process these unresolved feelings.
